I am not sad. I enjoy life.
My self has decided for me that it doesn't trust anyone or anything.
I have preferred online shopping over going to God.
I have preferred planning for piano lessons over listening to my memories.
I have lost myself in busy work over and over.
Worship, prayer, meditation have not come easily.
I have asked a few hard questions.
Why do the people I know who follow God the most, seem to go through the most suffering and trial?
Are we getting something wrong? Are we all fooled by some great misconception about our faith?
I know I'm not the only one who asks these questions. I voice them on behalf of others.
I can't dispute that we hear the spirit world all the time. That is tangible and measurable. When three people all see visions of a pirate ship out of nowhere, we know we are listening to something.
But what else do I KNOW?
I know that when we tell the enemy to flee we see healing, peace and wholeness in people.
I know that he flees when we use the name of Jesus.
I know that the things we hear from the spirit realm bring deep insight into people's hearts.
I know that those are the key to unlock healing because I've watched it happen over and over again. I've seen the joy, the security, the freedom.
I know that when we invite Holy Spirit we get revelation, we feel warmth, peace, we hear words of deep love.
I know that the prophetic words I hear spoken to people all reflect a God who wants rest, jewels, a crown, freedom, fresh identity, intimacy and power for his children.
That is what I know. I guess that is a strong starting point.
Are we not standing up in that enough?
Why all the trials?
I know the head answers. I am too tired for head answers. People are suffering and it is their hearts that are crying out for answers.
God speak to our hearts.
I'll keep you posted.
